Cyberpunk city (daytime)

The daytime in the cyberpunk world resembles a lifeless night. The sunlight reveals every corner of the city, stripping away the excitement and leaving only trash behind. This project focuses on the crowded, dirty, and stratified nature of the cyberpunk city. I designed a route that moves from a narrow alley to a busy street, ending with the character facing a luxurious cityscape, contrasting starkly with the environment they had just traversed.

Cyberpunk City (Night)

This animation is based on a short story about a police officer chasing a fugitive. In a cyberpunk city, the night is still brightly lit with neon lights illuminating the entire street, leaving no corner in darkness. To portray the core theme of “high-tech, low-life,” I incorporated futuristic buildings and trash. Dirty streets, cigarette butts, empty bottles, and tattered clothes represent the poor living conditions, while the reflections of neon lights on the buildings emphasize the high-tech aspects. The vague outlines of skyscrapers in the background further highlight the exaggerated disparity between rich and poor, another central element of cyberpunk.
